ROELOF is a brand created around the idea of not giving up
I never thought something was impossible, everything can be done with enough time and dedication. And with this in mind I wanted to create Roelof, a business that tries to make a difference that could sound impossible.
the story of the first production
We started in 2023 with a bold idea of making a freshman jacked for the rowing club Nereus that can live up to the rowing’s clubs image. Something strong and unique, whilst also giving the vibe that its always been in the rowing club.
Once we started with working out the plan we were overwhelmed by the amount of things that needed to be done. But we took it one step at a time, found a design that we liked and striped it till it was just pattern. Than we started with very little skill figuring out how it was put together. Once we had a basic understanding we went on thinking about how we can do it.
So we looked for a pattern producer to get our new design to reality. We also did some research on the history of the rowing club Nereus to find a logo that fits and after a while we got a foto of an old design that was pressed in leather. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the files of the old design so we had to digitise it ourselves.
So we had our new patterns and digital logo and were still working with suppliers to get the right fabrics and then everything was here zippers, buttons, the liner, the main fabric, patterns, logo’s. And than it really started the production. But we still were lacking knowledge of production so we teamed up with Alliance Mode and made our first product the freshman jacked
MIJA

Op 10 december 1885 wordt, naar aanleiding van de rede van dhr. Schölvinck, de Amsterdamsche Studentenroeivereeniging ‘Nereus’ opgericht. Sindsdien is Nereus berucht voor haar dominante positie binnen de internationale en nationale roei wereld en haar vele overwinningen. Daarnaast is Nereus al een aantal jaar de meest populaire studenten roeivereniging van Nederland vanwege haar bruisende vereniginsleven.
